  • The Allanwater Brewhouse has been brewing and pouring beer since 1996 and has become a jewel in the tourism offering for the Stirling area. A past winner of VisitScotland’s Thistle awards, the visitor centre proudly welcomes visitors from the UK and all around the world offering true Scottish hospitality.

    We pride ourselves on our passion for artisan craft beers. The enthusiasm of our staff is infectious and contributes to the cheerful and chilled atmosphere. Our passion is also evident in our ales, with each beer crafted with love & careful attention, resulting in beers worthy of note, a return visit & a rich rewarding customer experience.

    We offer our customers free beer tastings, free WIFI, Vegan and Gluten Free products, Scottish craft gins & local malt whisky, Scottish Pizzas, live music from Americana to Blues, Folk and Jazz and a wide selection of brewhouse tours to enrich the visitors experience and enjoy our locally sourced Forth Valley food and drink products.

  • The Allanwater Café has been run by the Bechelli Family for over 100 years, since 1902 - and is now being run by the fourth generation.

    We have a restaurant with seating for 80 people and we also have our very popular chip shop for take-away.

    We are open six days a week 11am – 8pm (closed Tuesdays).  Last orders in our café are 7:30pm. We offer an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with everything in between, from coffee and cake to our delicious ice cream. We make our own ice cream on the premises and still use the same (secret) traditional recipe handed down the generations.

  • The Crook bar & Bistro is a small independent bar and restaurant located at the Allan water end of the main street in Bridge of Allan.

    We offer a traditional tapas menu served until 9pm each day. Along with a great selection of Scottish Gins, cocktails and wines, we offer a relaxed atmosphere to relax with friends and family.

    Every other weekend we have live music and Sundays are for getting a beer and having a go at our fun pub quiz. Our wee bar is also available for hire for private events and dining experiences and if its a last minute present that’s required then you can always get a gift voucher for a loved one to show you care!

    Open wed & Thur 4pm-late. All weekend midday til 1am.

    Using only the best in quality Scottish ingredients, our team of chefs will create a menu tailored to your event, and with a dedicated planner from initial enquiry to event end, you will be assured of great service and a memorable experience.

    Our spacious venue can accommodate private dining and drinks receptions for parties of 20 – 230 guests in a choice of rooms, all of which look out onto our stunning grounds and many across to the beautiful Ochil Hills.

    Choose the Windows onto the Wallace conservatory – seating up to 80 people - and you will enjoy one of the most iconic views in Scotland as you eat.

    Our Events Team will also be happy to help you choose entertainment, lighting, music and decoration.

  • If you’re after pre-show food & drinks, the Café Bar and Kiosk at the Macrobert Arts Centre is an ideal option, open from noon with last food orders at 19:45.

    The kitchen serves a range of small plates, flatbreads and wraps, with a kids menu and delicious desserts and you can buy a range of drinks and pre-packaged snacks from the Kiosk.

  • Legends Coffee House and Gift Shop sit at the foot of the Abbey Craig, with stunning views up to the National Wallace Monument. We pride ourselves on being independently managed as a local charitable trust, serving visitors and local residents for over 25 years.

    Our menu proudly showcases Scottish produce served with a smile and warm welcome. Scones are freshly baked every morning and a tempting selection of breakfast and lunch options are always on offer. Did we mention cake?!

  • John Cullens Butcher is a traditional, family owned butcher shop which has existed on Henderson Street for over 100 years.

    All our meat is fresh from farm to shop to fork, all sourced from local farms.

    If we do not have what you want, please just ask, we will do our best to source it for you.

  • This friendly local community pub has been a mainstay of village life in Bridge of Allan since the 1940s.

    The traditional Scottish pub atmosphere makes it the perfect place for people to meet, relax, chat and make new friends.

    The pub is recently under new local ownership, but has the same familiar friendly faces behind the bar. Bar manager Anneka is usually here to give a warm welcome to regulars and returning customers alike!
